Good hire. May not be that great of a head coach but that's not what he's being hired for.

Not that I am bashing the hire, but I never saw his "good" defenses, because Petrino skull fricked him every time. His defenses had great numbers against other teams though.

But SC isn't known for great defenses, historically.
I'm not sure he'll have that much more to work with at Auburn though.
