We need to fire the Haslams.

Seriously, we are about to have our 3rd bad hire since they've been in control. 3-for-3 in bad hires.

They aren't out for the good of the program. They are out for the good of the Haslams.

ut has been shooting themselves in the foot since the latter fulmer days. their last ad (hunter?) was an absolute moron and maybe hart is too. or maybe he's not and some of the big boosters are. i would think they have the money to get a good coach. firing dooley after 3 yrs, considering the crap he inherited may have been a big mistake.

Haslam has been heavily involved in Tennessee football a lot longer than 20 years.

Well, if it was hard to find a coach before, I doubt they'll be lining up to take a job knowing that his new boss might be leaving soon.

Gruden wants control, what better way to give him that than to fire the AD and let him and the Haslams bring in who they want?

My opinion is that all this mess in Knoxville over the last few years has been an elaborate scheme by Alabama to destroy the athletic department from the inside out.

Kirby Smart is the last piece of the puzzle.

I agree Hart is really frickingnTennessee up.

Maybe bring in Fulmer as AD? That seemed to work for Nebraska when Tom Osborne came back to the school.

Curious why the perception that he is botching this? If they are offering shite loads of money and keep getting turned down it's obviously not a very attractive job. How is it his fault? Did he run Fulmer, hire Kiffin, and hire Dooley?

I think there is truth in this. But, nobody at Tennessee is going to want to accept this as truth.

In the end, this may be more of an institutional problem than a performance of the AD problem.

I think many people, including myself, may have overrated the attractiveness of the Tennessee job.

But not the Majors hire... And not very involved in the Fulmer switch.

They've been the lead crew in the dumpster fire era.

This fiasco should really give the ignorant LSU fans some perspective.

You Tennessee fans can go ahead and remove those big six sigs. A true and proper leader of a program would have their house in order before firing a coach.

We got our search wrapped up in 2 1/2 days. And our 3x BCS game level coach reached out to us. Good luck w/ the coordinators.

It should. Alabama went through this a decade ago. One bad move built on the next.

You sure are a bright one, aren't you? Let's get rid of one of the primary sources of donations. That makes a whole bunch of sense.

And you can't fire a booster you dumb frick.

You fired your coach before the season started, I think that would constitute a longer search than 2.5 days.

Big Jim Haslam played for Neyland from '49-52. He's been involved for a little bit longer than 20 years.

Are there people who actually think Tennessee was offering Charlie Strong 5 million dollars a year, or whatever that ridiculous number was?
