If you keep at it, you'd have to think Gruden would eventually take it. There's no telling how long Saban was courted until he actually began to consider Alabama.

That is not correct fwiw.

Hart specifically said in the Dooley firing presser that assistants wouldn't be considered.

Yes, you are. Borrowing 18 million from the academic fund? AYSM?

Guess how much each student at the U of A pays into the athletic department? Not a dime.

We are not borrowing, the AD is not giving 6 millions a year like they have for the last 10 years, instead, we are using that money for AD operating expenses and the coaches money is coming straight from the boosters.

there isn't a Nick Saban on the market.

Nick publicly stated he wasn't on the market.

He didn't come on the market until the regular season was over. Everyone knows this.

But what coach will come close to being a Saban-type hire? I can only think of three coaches who will be Saban-type hires: Pete Carroll, Urban Meyer, and Jim Harbaugh. All of those coaches seem to be very happy where they're at and are having a lot of success at their current jobs. Saban was floundering with the Dolphins and there were long-standing rumors that his wife desperately wanted out of Miami.
