if you're already on the hook for BVG's contract it seems like it would just be best to retain him and continue the progress made towards moving to the 3-4. Rather than pay BVG his buyout AND the amount it would take to lure in Ellis
unless Malzahn just hates that D, which could be the case.

i don't see why they'd can BvG personally
i know it's malzhan's show, but he was running that team 1 fricking year ago. he knows all the guys on the staff, other than BvG basically

BVG doesn't run a 3-4, but I'd be happy with either. It seemed BVG had a tough time adjusting to spread offenses, but given the time I think he'd be really good.
