Dialog is a big factor in both games. I skip through a lot of it personally. And Fallout 3 just leans towards guns, which I would guess would be a big appeal over the fantasy game mechanics. But they are both the same stuff, just different styles.

And all I'll say bout that, MJ, is Skyrim is the game that makes you wish you had a solid gaming PC. I spent the first day and a half just picking my jaw up from the ground.

You can spend literally 100s of hours on Skyrim without completing the game. I spent about 200 and only did the second main quest. Then my Xbox Exploded probably from too much Skyrim.

You either love or hate games like Skyrim. I tend to love em.

Lost Odyssey is the correct answer

I loved Lost Odyssey, but I feel like modern-gen gamers who have no experience with classic RPGs will have a hard time enjoying the combat.

I used to love Final Fantasy, Secret of Mana/Evermore, Zelda, etc

Secret of Mana is probably one of my all time favorites. Wish I could still play that game

Just won an auction for Deus Ex for $12.50

Trying to get Dragon's Dogma. Played the demo again this morning and I really like that game.

I think I'd like KOA:Reckoning too. I like the combat system those games have.

The Fallout style games I'm not a huge fan of

Good. You will like Dark Souls even more. Will pick up Dogma soon myself.

I read that once you've leveled up enough, the game becomes boringly easy.

KOA combat was the shite, sadly everything else about that game was shite.

Well damn. The combat system was really fun.

What sucks so bad about it? Just too easy once you level up?

Have you tried the demo? They have two different "levels" you can play. Just to kind of give you a taste of the combat system and gameplay is like. I really want this game...

I just couldn't get attached to it. I had no desire to continue playing after the combat play style high was finished.

The combat was awesome, but the story was meh at best.

With KOA, about halfway through, you become so OP that it isn't as much fun.

Just scored Dark Souls locally on Craigslist for $15

So that's Deus and Souls for $28

If I can score Dogma for $30 I'm a happy camper. It'll be an RPG heavy winter

ETA: I'm watching Dragon Age: Origins too. $8. Figured if I don't like it...it's $8 and paypal is like monopoly money anyway. It isn't real
