Is it most like A&M from what we played this year? I know they arent a pound it team. If they are like A&M without Manziel then we should kick their arse.

No.

They have a couple of good WRs and a decent QB. He is no where near as good as Manziel. However, their WRs are significantly better than A&Ms. I don't think the two offenses are that comparable.

i haven't seen them play this year. are they basically a spread offense requiring us to be in the nickle the whole game or do they have a good running game? how good are they?

It's hard to throw the ball if you're on you're @$$ 1/2 the game...

Andre Ellington is a decent back for them. The problem for the taters will be opening holes on the offensive front vs LSU D-line.

Watkins is great...against ACC competition. He has never shown up against a top tier team. DeAndre Hopkins is a fantastic reciever but he will be smothered and covered by the LSU D-backs. They also have Jaron Brown, Charone Peak, and Martavis Bryant who are all capable recievers as well. The tight end Brandon Ford can also catch and is a viable option in the passing game. Looks for lots of jet-sweeps, draws, and quick outs. It will take us a qtr. or so to feel them out then we will roll!

I don't know what the game plan will be to slow them down. I would guess a lot of nickel. They do have a decent RB in Andre Ellington, but he isn't nearly as talented as what we have seen in the SEC week in and week out all season long.

They have speed at WR. That is typically their game and they like to spretch the field vertically, but I don't know that I have ever seen anyone outrun LSUs defense.

I don't think their OL will be able to withstand the rotation and talent of our 8 defensive linemen. I think we will be able to get pressure on Boyd with our front 4 and as long as we keep him in the pocket I have a feeling it is going to be a long frsutrating night for their offense.

Watkins reportedly ran a 4.2 40 yard dash this summer. I'm skeptical of that exact number, but regardless the kid has wheels.

Absolutely, Boyd scrambles fairly well and has the arm strength to make all the throws. They have the capability of making lots of big plays down the field and if we cannot cover them it will turn into an offensive slugfest.

If Miles copies Spurrier's game plan from the South Carolina/ Clemson game LSU should roll easily. Mingo and Montgomery are nasty enough to make Boyd want to get rid of the ball early (erasing downfield threat) and LSU has the speed and tackling ability to control the shorter passing game.
