If the rating services are so wrong, how do you idiots know who we should recruit.
All of my opinions on how well we are doing in recruiting is based on the recruiting services. Rivals is as good as the others.
The reason Miles finds in-state talent the services are not aware of is because we have full-time talent scouts at virtually every school in the state over the years and can track kids for 3 or 4 years.
Why do you think Bama is a good example of how wrong Rivals' opinons are. They keep ranking Bama at or near the top, and Bama keeps finishing at or near the top. Now I understand.

I graduated before he played, but I saw a few of Debo's games because he went to my alma mater. Dude consistantly made plays in coverage (pass deflections, INTS) and was a HARD hitting tackler. No way he should have been given only 3 stars

First of all the Rivals is the most LSU biased recruiting site out there.Second of all it doesn't matter what anyone has players rated at b/c players are a product of coaching once they step onto a college campus.Alot of players are coached better than others,play in the wrong systems,develop faster/slower than others etc so you can't look at how they were rated coming out of high school and say it was a flop on rivals part b/c of how they rated them. I can guarantee you Les Mile's staff and other staff's around the country evaluate talent a hell of alot better than rivals anyway. They base their star ratings on how many big time offers a player is receiving.

Pretty sure Jefferson was a 4* everywhere and Rivals had him higher than Tyler Wilson.
