The Les Miles story costed us Chris Petersen

Take it to the bank, oh goofy Long thought he could call his buddy Les and have him come here for 5 million dollars. Well that blew up in turd Long's face and scared a shaky Petersen off our job. Jeff Long is an idiot and should not be our AD. He has done damage to our school and our brand.
I am a graduate of the University of Arkansas and we need an AD like Frank Broyles who would not do idiotic horse-crap like this and has our best interests at heart. From this day forward I am writing letters to Gearheart and BOT members and expressing my displeasure with the administration at my University. This is just sad.

not sure what a les miles offer has to do with chris petersen. especially when bret bielema was the target all along

So exactly how did that scare away Peterson? I think Long made the offer to Miles to get the word out to other coaches that Arky was throwing around big money and were going after big coaches.

I am just telling you what happened. Long thought he could call his buddy and he would accept. It made Petersen not trust him. If I am not your top target today then why am I now. He told Petersen he was his number one for 8 months then when Les lifts his skirt, Long tries to pull a fast one. This scared off Petersen more so than his family staying in Boise.
Patterson and Petersen did not want to work for Long. It had nothing to do with the Razorbacks but rather its idiotic self serving AD.
