Exactly.

The prize money should be internal.

Reinvesting income the site is already generating.

What happens if the idea is a good one but simply doesn't generate enough to make a profit after being 1.8 million in a hole? If it needs more time.

If i were an investor I want to see a prototype of the idea and or storyboards of it.

You have to copyright the idea under intellectual property. You also don't give away too much about how the product or whatever works. Get a plan first. Get a prototype, then pitch it to people at venture capital firms

We have all that.

Run from anyone who refers to themselves a venture capitalist.

Thanks, I think that's for smaller projects, but I appreciate it.

You are asking for 1.8M, the pebble watch got nearly $11M when they were only asking for $375,000. I'm out.

It will generate that money. Easily.

Proper ad campaign will do it. I can't get into the particulars of the format of the contest and how the money is generated.

The lottery comparison is from the fact that your draw is a monetary prize than the idea itself.

Your "idea" basically seems to be an expanded FF league with a money prize attached to it.

I guess a million dollar prize would never get someone interested.

So you have no patents, no sales, no product, no prototype, and you want to give away my money?

I'm out.

You can't just slap a million dollar prize on something and expect it to be successful.

So why don't you promise that money and then use to money you make to pay off the winner?

I'm not here to do research for you. Develop your idea, get some sales experience, make it work on a small scale and come back. Maybe Mark Cuban will work with you. But I just cant see us getting along.

I'm out.

ETA:
Id like to come back in. I'll offer you $40 via paypal in exchange for %40 if another OTer will put up a million dollars for %60
