Agree. HIll is the only other realistic candidate, IMO.

Kevin Minter

Trai Turner/Vadal Alexander. I know it sounds crazy, but things could have gotten pretty rough through a stretch in the season if these guys hadn't stepped up and played like experienced upperclassmen as Freshmen.

Mett played pretty well in the 2nd half of the season.

Defense is easy. Minter. Not sure who else would be up there but id put Logan and Mills as the other 2. I know Mills is a fresh, but he stepped in for the best defensive playmaker LSU has ever had and did an amazing job. Logan was pretty consistent all year long.

Offense I would go with Hill. Did it all year long for us and distanced himself from all our other RBs. Besides Hill, I would say Collins and Jarvis. Collins was our rock for the OL. And even though Jarvis had 1 bad game early on in the year, his attitude and leadership rubbed off on the offense. He was the spark our offense lacked during the beginning of the year. He also made great plays on ST, great downfield blocks, and did his job. His stats arent going to shock you, but he did things for our offense that you cant record as a stat. If Mett played like he did the past few games during the beginning of the season he would be up there too. But, as expected, he was a 1st time starter and that always has a few bumps in the road. I do expect Mett to be the MVP next year.

Minter on defense easily. I have to say Mett on offense. I knew coming into this year Hill was going to be a beast, but Mett has thrown for the most consecutive 200 yard passing games since JaMarcuss Russel after a shaky start with no help from the receivers in the beginning of the year. For Mett to battle the critics and play like he has at the end of the year, I think he is more than deserving.

this is very, very true. if we don't have these guys step up, we may end up with 4 losses.

100% agree with both statements.
