First out the gate: Allen West strongly hints at 2016 presidential run

Sunday, December 2, 2012 13:11

Remember “Lincoln only served one term in Congress, too” From NPR, “What Allen West And Abraham Lincoln Have In Common”:
Look, you know, God closes a door so that he can open up greater doors. I will continue to, you know, stand up and fight for this country.

That’s my goal. I have two daughters, 19 and 16, and I want to make sure that they grow up in a great America that provides them all the opportunities that it provided to their mother and father. And always remember, Abraham Lincoln only served one term in Congress, too.

Watch a clip of our state run media; that cannot comprehend why anyone would be upset at Obama's extravagent Christmas? And their discussion of Allen West running in 2016.

He can go teach Junior High or make much more money as a perpetual campaigner, not kooky at all. He is maximizing his economic potential, something for which you liberals have no appreciation.

This Alinsky shite won't fly with me. You don't think Al Sharpton,Jesse Jackson, Barack Obama are 'kooky'?

West is an extremely intelligent man. PERIOD.

Do you not like him because he is black?

West/Martinez 2016.

Get ready to say,President West.

Do you really think the media can paint him as a dumb kook, successfully? Look up youtube videos of West going against the media over and over and handing them their asses.

Why is it that just because Obama loaded buses and vans for a re election win. West is not politically correct and certainly not cool enough to run for POTUS?

No because I say he is based on my own observations. Some of us are able to delineate between news reporting and propaganda.

And anyway, chill out dude you're gonna blow a blood vessel.

your point?

Are you suggesting there is a place for only huge kook and arse hole in politics?

It is not like since Biden has that spot West can compete for the honor. There is no quota for huge kooks and arse holes.

So how does this effect Col. West's policies and whether they would be harmful or beneficial to our country?

To Debbie Wasserman-Schultz:
quote:

"You have proven repeatedly that you are not a Lady, therefore, shall not be afforded due respect from me!” West later said he had apologized, but Wasserman-Schultz said she had not received one."

In a July 2011 post on the website Red Country, West wrote,
quote:

“I must confess, when I see anyone with an Obama 2012 bumper sticker, I recognize them as a threat to the gene pool.”

quote:

“If Joseph Goebbels was around, he’d be very proud of the Democrat party, because they have an incredible propaganda machine.”

Before running for Congress, West had a 22-year career in the military, but left after he abused an Iraqi detainee:
quote:

“This is it. I’m going to count to five again, and if you don’t give me what I want, I’m going to kill you.” He then fired a shot “a foot” over the detainee’s head.

In April 2011, West told a conservative women’s conference that liberal women
quote:

“have been neutering American men and bringing us to the point of this incredible weakness — to let them know that we are not going to have our men become subservient. That’s what we need you to do. Because if you don’t, then the debt will continue to grow…deficits will continue to grow.”

In response to the whistleblower website Wikileaks releasing thousands of pages of diplomatic cables, West declared:
quote:

“And I think that we also should be censoring the American news agencies which enabled [Julian Assange] to do this and also supported him and applauding him for the efforts.” West later claimed he only called for “censuring” the media. Either way, it would be a First Amendment violation.

On religious tolerance:
quote:

“Every time I see one of those bumper stickers, I look at the person inside that is driving. Because that person represents something that would give away our country. Would give away who we are, our rights and freedoms and liberties because they are afraid to stand up and confront that which is the antithesis, anathema of who we are.”

I apologize to Ms. Bachman. West is far kookier than she is.

So the news reporting on Barack Obama is not propaganda?

I am chilled, I am not a dude, and my blood pressure is fine. Can you say President West, or VP West? And don't anybody dare say he is not qualified, because...

quote:

As expected, Florida Rep. Allen West had another terrific quarter of raising money, in keeping with his stellar record.

Look for him as a presidential candidate in 2016 or 2020.

The conservative congressman hasn’t explicitly said as much, but he’s following a path blazed by Michele Bachmann, Dennis Kucinich and Ron Paul.

Each of them ignored the historic barriers and reasons why House members haven’t typically sought the presidency because they’ve were prescient enough to recognize that the equation has changed dramatically.

What changed? Thanks to Internet and direct mail fundraising and the national platform offered by cable news shows, even a House backbencher can now build a well-financed national following. And Barack Obama’s victory, just four years removed from the Illinois state Senate, suggests the boundaries surrounding the question of office-holding experience have been erased.

There’s already a good bit of Internet buzz about West running for president. At the moment, in some conservative circles there’s even talk of him as a prospective veep candidate – a far less likely prospect since it would be political suicide to put a lightning rod like West on the national ticket.
