This board would shite all over themselves. I imagine them fapping to him if he appeared at the VS show.

I'm a fan of his just not over the top.

I never cared about rottentomatoes until I started coming on this board. You people have ruined me.

CGI was a staple of the trilogy and a lot of the reason it made it work what with Golem and the battle sequences.

I agree to an extent. The Helm's deep battle was mostly real actors and not all CGI. The Minis Tirith was probably mostly CGI. If it's done right I will have no problem with it. I trust PJ until he proves me otherwise.

What Jackson understands and gets wonderfully right in An Unexpected Journey (and that Lucas failed to understand with 1999's The Phantom Menace) is that kids dream like adults. They harbor different sensibilities, their concept of life's big challenges evolve, but children can be captured by the same iconography as their parents — they just needed it painted in broader strokes.

if Legolas does any of that shield surfing or elephant climbing, i'm walking out.

i will most likely return soon thereafter to catch the rest of the movie because i love Tolkien

Too bad that reviewer can't spell Gollum.

Me and you CP3 and OM and maybe a couple more on here will appreciate the movie as more of what we love.

All the bad reviews say its drawn out and has too many details but that is exactly what I want from a Tolkien film. Tolkien uses an excess of imagery and makes you feel like you know every stick and rock in middle earth

Couldn't of said it any better.

Here is present sent from Legolas.

I still don't care about movie reviews. I usually don't read any reviews until I have seen a movie and then I might look through some. I hate going into a movie with a subconscious bias because some fat slob with a laptop in LA gave a condescending review that I read.

They say it's bad and we think it's a great thing. We don't have the same thinking of reviewers. This is a great thing IMO

This seems like a consensus from everyone. I won't be able to watch it till the 20th I had to travel for some consulting for oil and gas so I want to wait and get back to Louisiana to watch it in the IMAX

I'm pretty disappointed after reading a lot of the reviews. The 75 on rotten is a little misleading, as a lot of those fresh reviews seemed to think the movie was ok but still disappointing. It was at 60% on metacritic the last time I looked, which is not very good for this type of movie

Disappointing compared to LOTR. If it was better than LOTR it would be one of the greatest movies. Ever. Don't form an opinion till you watch the movie. You will do yourself a disservice if you let them ruin the movie for you.

not really. Maybe if we are talking Transformers but having already read the book it will not let us down unless he changes stuff and ruins things and I know he hasn't. Everyone said the actors did a superb job and the actors are perfect for each character. Me White Shadeaux and OM will love it.

I haven't watch Harry Potter but each of their reviews as I stated earlier were in the 70 and low 80's for rotten tomatoes and they all loved it. This IMO will be much better
