Well if anything, lets be independent like Norte Dame. Play average teams from every conference and we'd be in the NC every year.

Realistically we do have the hardest route to the NC out of any other team in the country or sec. We are in the toughest division in college football. In order to get to the NC, we have to beat everyone in our division. On top of that we play Flordia every year which is though bc they are consistantly one or two in the east! No one else in our divison does thay! Considering we get past all of those speed bumps, we play in the sec championship, with chances playing Florida again always a high possibility!! This is why playing bama again last year was a joke. Now if we look at it this year, our only two losses came to two top 5 teams that we were better than. It sucks!!

Maybe we should consider beating Bama first.

Maybe you should consider 2011, when it didn't matter anyway.

There is a reason why Vandy does not leave the SEC, MONEY, and better facilities then most FBS schools.

If it were me I would get the major conferences and get out of the NCAA and BCS.

Keep everything the same last year for both teams, the scores, where the games were played, everything, just reverse the winner in the Nov. 5 game. You'd think we'd get a rematch? No way.

And therein lies the problem with all of this. This isnt p&g glasses: its the truth. The bowl situation goes to show it.

What do we do? Have Alleva run his mouth to ESPN? You dont want to slight the Peach Bowl people, because despite everyone's issues, it is a quality bowl against a quality opponent.

So how should we approach it?

You can think whatever you want of me for this, but..

If LSU leaves the SEC (right now), I am without-a-doubt jumping ship on the team. That would be the dumbest conference change in the history of college athletics.

I could accept it at a later point if we had a real reason. Like the SEC was dying like the current ACC. But the SEC is the class of the country right now. It would not help us at all to leave.

Yikes the operative word here is SERIOUSLY. Make sense to me we leave the best competion, best tv contracts, best recruiting advantage, to become part of what? Yeah we buck the conventional wisdom and go against the "flow of the TIDE" Makes sense to me --- NOT. Stay put things change, beat the best and the rest will take care of itself.

No shite, nothing says action like forming a committee. Hell, lets get a subcommittee on competition and horseback riding as well, that will show those fricks in Birmingham.

I think we should consider it. Just to let the SEC know that they can not hold us under water forever. We are a big enough entity for the SEC with millions of dollars at stake. This bullshite bowl screw job,the scheduling for next year, the scheduling for this year is a complete joke. Yes, he should but not about the bowl game. It should be about the scheduling imbalance. Miles should also do it at every turn. At this rate, sure we'll have some great years, while Alabama collects all the Natty's in between because they only play 2 tough opponents while LSU plays 4 rather than both teams playing 3 tough opponents. Do you realize Alabama went 1-1 against top 10 opponents (avoiding USCe, Georgia, & UF) while LSU went 2-2 and A&M went 2-1?
