Yeah, when I lived in Alaska, the it was always outside...the Fairbanks dudes didn't play though

the ice is like 2-3 feet thick (or more) so it's not a big deal

fished in northern MN in '09. they weren't biting until one of the guys that I was with went to the kitchen at the lodge and got some shrimp. killed the trout after that. even trout up north like shrimp.

We used to do it a lot when I lived in the Mat-Su. Pretty popular up there. We do it here on a couple of local lakes that have some salmon stocked, and a few trout. Local hockey and ice skating location.
When I lived in Big Lake, they would make roads on the lake, even put up street signs.
