Are they all generally the same with sizable portions of human scum and class? Or do some clubs stand out with exceptional majorities of either?

I will offer an opinion that Everton has the best. Not sure about the worst.

Thoughts?

Worst is probably stoke, I've heard bad things about Newcastle as well.

These would be my two for worst. I have no idea as far as best goes. Fulham? Swansea?

West Ham and Leeds(not current EPL) fans have perhaps the worst reputations.

Newcastle fans are exuberant, but not necessarily thuggish.

If this was pre-1995 or so, Liverpool would have the fans with the worst reputation, but that's toned down since the Premier League era.

West Ham and Stoke supporters probably have the worst reputations for clubs currently in the top flight.

I've always like the atmospheres at Villa Park (Aston Villa) and Goodison Park (Everton).

Surprisingly, Burnley away supporters were the most boisterous I experienced in England.

I didn't think they were thuggish. More just obnoxious and in your face. Then again I have a small sample size, and outside of game day atmosphere, so my opinion is sort of skewed.

Manchester City's 1st year in the Third division: Average crowd 28,261, 13th highest in all leagues.

The season before (2nd div) it was 28,196, season after (also 2nd div) it was 32,088

I promise I'm friendly. Then again I'm American and have never been to England, so I probably don't even factor into this fanbase assessment.
