I'm somewhat new to German food. I've had it in Germany a couple of times, but honestly, I was too young to really remember it. Can you recommend some good authentic German dishes and sides. Have any of you ever been to Jagerhaus in New Orleans? How is it? Any other German restaurants I should try in the city?

I've been but all I got was a Reuben, potato pancakes, and a sausage plate. All was delicious.

Can't you get the beer in the glass boot?

Jägersnitzel platter with spetezle and a good house beer. What you will be eating is a pork loin filet that has been breaded and fried, then smothered in a mushroom gravy with potato dumplings. A little red cabbage on the side, and you are money.
