Im sorry but programs who are consistantly one way or the other are like that for a while. UT wont be back to power in just one year and same thing with UK. Right, like Auburn.

You are reaching.

Georgia has been to back to back SEC Champ game. 2010 was a rough year. Regardless, there has been no decline like Auburn.

A&M has only been in the league for one year, and yet their brand is already more compelling than LSU's

c'mon man that's a bit much. THIS YEAR, they have jff and we have a pretty boring team. we barely win our games and can't score in teh red zone. tm7, the most excited player in college football last year is gone. their "brand" is not more compelling than LSU's "brand". (that's a damn aggie term by the way; they think they are damn cowboys or something).

Per the article:
This is the same SEC that when knocking together its slip-shod 2013 football schedule stuck LSU with a road trip to Georgia on top of its permanent SEC East game against Florida. Meanwhile, Alabama kept its permanent SEC East game with Tennessee and added a road trip to Kentucky.

UK’s football program is in such bad shape the SEC should have sent the Red Cross instead. Tennessee isn’t much better. They went a combined 1-15 in SEC play this year. Georgia and Florida were 14-2. Anyone care to guess who will be favored to win the SEC West?

I'm not whining, just making a "just sayin'" observation. I don't know much about the new playoff system, but I hope SOS figures prominently in whatever equations it uses to figure out who gets in.

As for the Chick-Fil-A Bowl, meh—let's get on with it, get a win and look forward to 2013.

Does anyone really doubt that A&M will put more fans in the seats than LSU? At the end of the day, that is a major driving factor.

Great article. The bowl tie-ins, "conference championship" games, and all associated politicking needs to be eliminated. Create a free market and let the bowls extend offers to teams of their choice.

Well done article. Thanks to Scott for explaining it. Everyone says we're bitching, we're just pointing out the injustice that the SEC has become.

The favored teams can't see if because they benefit, outsiders can't see it because they think we should be happy. Maybe if we were not constantly getting shafted by the SEC we wouldn't be in this position to get shafted by them again.

Only issue is USC E or LSU. They aren't going to reply Clem/USCe in the Peach.

Dallas gets A&M.
Florida stays home.

Simple enough.

Somehow it had more cache' when it was still called the Peach Bowl. But Chick Fil-A Bowl sounds better than Meineke Car Care at least.

Does it really matter, damn, it is an exhibition game.

If it isnt one of the BCS bowls which is out of the question with the current set up that has Wiscy and FSU and NIU battling it out, why does it matter if we play another game in Atlanta, Dallas, or Tampa?

Many LSU fans simply can't face reality.Win all of your games and you determine your own destiny.Keep trying to gain 12 yards on 4th down against the #1 defense instead of attempting a FG and you will get what you deserve.
