Chick-Fil-A has a BCS type game lined up

If the bowl had a different name tied to it and LSU were playing Clemson, a lot of you would be ecstatic.
IMO, this bowl matches up teams that are better than every BCS bowl other than than the NCG.
Two 10 win teams, with the way the dominoes fell, just ended up playing in Atlanta instead of another meaningless bowl.
I don't understand the problem.
This is the 2nd to 3rd best matchup in the entire bowl lineup. Not sure I see a problem.

Some may not agree but I think the cotton bowl provides more exposure than the chick fil a. I just can' t see that many people tuning in on new years eve as compared to the Friday before the nc game.

+1 totally agree.
As a fan isn't it about a quality match-up and good game that's fun for fans.
It's not like we are paired up with Towson again for goodness sakes.
I sure hope the team is fired up to play against Clemson.... because losing to them would be terrible.
It's a Top 20 matchup any way you look at it --- BCS rank, AP, or USA Today.... overall this says it's a solid matchup.

I don't agree with you often. But I totally agree with you here. This is one of the better games, regardless of the date it is played.

That's great, but the bowl sucks because your boy Miles couldn't hold a lead against Bama with a minute to go. No new years day bowl.

By the time the NC game comes around many people are burned out of bowl games. So there are folks that don't tune in then too.
heck - with the BCSCG being a Monday night -- people are back to work and may not tune in for that game...
there are a LOT of people that will be home to tune in and watch on NYE.
