Best Credit Card Rewards Card

What credit card offers the best rewards? I'm thinking of using a credit card to pay my bills then just pay it off at the end of the month. I figure if I'm going to be spending the money anyways, I might as well get something out of it.

Amex blue cash preferred is the best overall IMO unless you want travel rewards

+1 on nerdwallet. Make sure to fill out your average spending on gas, groceries, restaurants and other. Default is $200 in each category.

I am about to get one of these to go along with my penfed card for gas...
i figure i can hit the needed limit to pay the fee each year... if not ill buy a ton of gift cards from albertsons

i would get the amazon blue and buy amazon gift cards at albertsons.
or citi forward card has 5points for purchases at book stores... which i think includes amazon.
ETA: there are better options than the amazon CC

I got denied for Amex blue a couple years ago
I went with an Amex zync charge card instead, after a year of making payments on time, etc, they sent me a preapproval for the blue cash
May be something to look into
I was fixed on wanting an Amex because I was buying some new electronics and wanted the extended warranty provided by buying something with Amex
