Yes. They are a good family. We saw him and his brother last night at the Livonia football game. My wife is much closer with them than I am and has been on the phone with his family since we found out. It's a very sad situation.

Player or not?

Hoping a miracle takes place

Probably the wrong forum for this, but I always keep my gun loaded when picking dekes. Call it superstition, but the ducks always come in when you're picking up. I like to stay ready...safely of course.

Sorry to say, but once I'm picking up my spread, the hunt is over. No in's,if's or but's.

Prays sent for the family in young man.

This. If you are picking up you should be done. If you don't have your limit yet, and decide to pick up that is your loss. We have 3 guys picking up decoys. If someone were to pop off someone could be hurt. You are not thinking safety if your gun is loaded while you are doing something else.

Spoke with a family member this morning. The swelling on his brain has eased up and is almost down to normal. They may attempt to wake him up today. Still has a long way to go with a lot of uncertainty but that is some positive news

Yes please continue to pray for him and his family. They are a very close knit family and this has taken a toll on his mother and brothers for sure.

Poor folks. All involved are gonna be messed up for a long time. Gonna need a lot of prayers.

When I was about 7 or 8 I remember my .410 going off on accident while cocking it. It was pointed at the ground and we were fine, but I remember my dad making me get down on the ground and look at the hole in the mud, explaining that's what it would do to a person too. All these years later I still think about it everytime I hold a .410 crack-barrel.
