When SI had that Birth of a Program cover, they picked the wrong team. UTSA has done a much better job than GA State.

Absolutely. Ga St has a pretty good setup being in a recruiting hot bed and playing in the Dome, but they really need someone that is going to put a lot of life into the program.

He can't be any worse than Curry this past season.

Yeah they were really bad this past season. I think Bill put it in cruise control.

Miles is a solid coach, when he took over at Indiana State the program was in the midst of a 33 straight game losing streak and was something like 2-60 over 5 1/2 seasons. Last year his team dismantled WKU and this year they finished 7-4 and barely missed the FCS playoffs.

Not just him but the whole staff did from what I've heard.

Plus UTSA actually has support, they had 40,000 + at a couple of their games.

Rumor is that Jeff Jagodzinski (former Boston College head coach and Buccaneer OC) will be hired as Ga. State's offensive coordinator.

Boy, has he fallen off the map.

wow, just looked it up and he has been working at Ave Maria. Holy crap, that team is trash. They lost against Atlanta Sports Academy (a prep school) and Point who looked like a HS team when they played UWG.

Wasn't he fired from BC for interviewing for the Jets job? He was one of the biggest up and coming names back then. His one year as offensive coordinator with the Bucs was a disaster.

Jags didn't ever coach a game with Tampa. He was fired before camp broke. He was fired from Omaha also.

From what I understand the situation in Tampa was that he and one of his coaches at BC were hired and they found out the other coach was the one who was smart not Jag so they fired Jag and kept the other guy.
