I agree. SP is vital to our success.

Payton got his arse suspended for the year and now the team is starting to fall apart. (I predict two more straight loses).

Regardless of whether or not you blame Payton for that, the fanbase and Benson are fine with it. Benson wouldn't have given Payton a job with the Hornets if he didn't stand by him.

Will Payton really leave his kids to coach for the same or less money than he can make in Dallas?

I am losing respect for Sean Payton with each passing day that his contract is not signed.

He left us in a horrible spot with his arrogance about the entire Bounty issue. And now after wasting one of Drew Brees' prime years, we are rewarded by having to give him a ridiculously insane raise? This is crazy.

Sign the fricking contract Sean!!!

Shefter reported a few days ago that we don't have permission to sign him yet.

NFL officials and Sean Payton's agent, Don Yee, are finalizing the conditions under which the suspended New Orleans Saints coach can attempt to negotiate a contract extension with New Orleans, according to a league source.
