Posted by Message Big Lake More Dan Partick It sounds like Miles pretty much turned them down outright and gave Jeff Long recommendations about present and former assistants under him. Like Chief and probably Stud. Mountains out of molehills

I wish he could have pawned Stud off to them and then find someone who can run the offense and let them run it. That would be my only negative view on Miles.

I think coach stud could get a job at some smaller programs tbh. He did lead an offense headed by JJ to a 13-0 regular season.

Yea you are right he did keep from a complete offensive meltdown last year

Is it just me or does it seem loke Les can do no right? It's mot just with the rantard fans but media also any other coach does this and actually flirts with leaving and they are great business men. Miles does it and he is a traitor.

As noted, if DP thinks CLM is a POS for the way he handled ths, what does he think of Nicky, who did this every fricking yr he was HC at LSU? Every major college coach worth his salt has to deal with this & CLM had it done & over with in less than 2 days.

I love Dan Patrick and his show, but he is way off base here.

He normally doesn't go for the controversial bullshite like this, but hey... He's on a new network, trying to get his show more exposure. We may not like it, but he's doing his job.

ETA: to answer the previous poster, his show is now on NBC sports.

Actually-- recruits will know that Arkansas wanted LSU's coach to the tune of $27.5 million and was turned down-- the impression for some may be how stable LSU is and how awful it must be at Arkansas when $27.5 million cannot lure a coach away.

What person in their right mind wouldn't at least take a phone call from someone offering a 27.5M contract???

Dan Patrick: the guy who 5 years ago begged ESPN to let him out of his contract with them a year early so he could go pursue other ventures...

...is now harping on Miles for the same thing.

It scares me someone could actually believe this. You guys clearly don't realize what a 17 year old African American student athlete focuses their time on. 90% will have no idea of this development.

False. They were pushing him out the door. He basically helped build ESPN and when contract negotiations came up, they wouldn't allow him to even host his show from his home ONE day a week to spend more time with his family. That on top of the generally shitty direction that ESPN was headed and it was a no-brainer.

I'd say more like 85%

but I think the point is about the 15% that does

he felt mistreated. It's different circumstances.

Miles needs LSU more than LSU needs him. Im surprised they didnt call his bluff.

as far as dan patrick, ESPN hasnt been the same since he's left.
