If it wasn't for hyperbole and titties, I don;t think the internet would have much use.

Most people who are defending Miles aren't doing so because they're maniacs for the guy. I like Miles but would replace him instantaneously if anyone here could guarantee a replacement that would do better. Keep in mind, I can only think of one program that we'd likely agree is "better" at this point.

No one can, despite all the suggestions otherwise. It's rampant speculation combined with hope.

So, until then I'll support the guy who's brought this program along at an astounding pace. You're free to be miserable while he does, of course.

Losing that game was just such a terrible let down...we all felt it. Everyone was angry and everyone was looking for someone to blame. It was really hard to be objective the days following that...no doubt. We all really needed that win that night, and we didn't get it.

But to still hang that game around Miles' neck in November of 2012, knowing what we know about what went down leading up to the game...there's just no hope in reasoning with anyone at that point.

That Tennessee game is the moment Miles lost me. We were up 21-0 at half and he came out in the 3rd quarter immediately playing not to lose instead of playing to win. I knew right then and there that his total lack of a killer instinct was the opposite of everything I like in a coach and have not liked him ever since.

if there is any loss under Miles that deserves a pass its this one.

and really?? Miles lost during his first home game ?? i call bullshite.....i'll go out on a limb and say that any coach we would've gotten lost you the minute Saban left

Get a 5 star recruit's GF a job in the AD.

Get a 5 star recruit a tutor to get him enrolled at school.

Tennessee 2005 ring a bell?

I didn't realize the city of Tuscaloosa had been ravaged by not one, but two hurricanes within a week of the game, which was then moved to another night while the cities that supported the team were still under water.

Exact same scenarios. How could I be so silly.

2008: Saban wins the SEC

No he didn't. Florida beat him in the SECCG, then he finished out the year with a loss to Utah by 14.

My fault. I'm so blinded with Saban's awesomeness, I forgot he DID NOT WIN the SEC that year either, and made a BCS Bowl, but now he has a problem with UF doing it.

LOL. I purposely avoided Miles vs Saban as a husband/father. But yes, Miles is light years ahead there as well. I'll put it in my list, but leave out the details.

I hope so. Every couple should celebrate a nice, hard-earned raise in style.

2012: Work in conjunction with your pals in the SEC to work up a nice, weak schedule for you. Play only 2 ranked teams all year, and LOSE AT HOME again. Thanks to your weak conference schedule, you make the SECCG and now, due to other teams losing (see 2003, 2011 and 2012) you have a shot at another title. Wow, the man is brilliant. How does he do it?

That is sheer beauty!

Nick Saban has 3 rings, is a month from his 4th, and thanks to #5 on your lovely list, he has the inside track to his 5th.

I can accept that we're stuck with CLM but when people start saying he's better than CNS it's gone too far.

Who cares what Saban does off the field...he prepares his team and they win! Most successful coaches tend to come off as arse holes by nature, because they are disciplined individuals. Doesn't mean they are bad people.

That's not the point here.

I'm simply saying he's ON PAR with Saban.

If Miles had the same Mulligans and weak schedules as the Great Saban, do you think he would have achieved as much? I do.
