Must of missed that completely. Didn't realize we had freshman DBs getting playing time outside of Mills and Thompson.

Has anyone considered with the amount of receivers we are offering and the talent that we have coming in at QB that we will be changing our offense somewhat? I don't mean that we will never use a fullback, but I expect we see the I formation with fullback less next year. We have Hilliard and Hill who can also fill that role when needed and I expect that someone like Dickson or Gordon could as well. I think we will be fine.
ETA - I forgot Copeland was back. I still think in the future, we shift away from that style of offense more.

I would say the JC WR was already the replacement for Baker.

Damn, that's unfortunate to hear. I was looking forward to having them in P&G, especially Swanson.

Hopefully this means that some big time commits are coming our way soon.

I would say Chuck Baker has a better shot at making it academically than the JUCO receiver.

I don't think that kid ever sits foot on LSU's campus. Could happen, but I would not count on it.

What do you guys think of Hilliard possibly moving to FB in the spring with this move? Having Hilliard and Hill in the back field at the same time could be really scary, maybe thats why Miles didn't hesitate to make the move?

Really want Swanson in this class but with the Gators offer it seems like a long shot.

Baker should have never been offered but he must have had a really good camp to warrant an early offer Bama will get rid of Falkins next

Yeah, I criticized the Baker offer also after looking at his video. The two most overrated LA kids IMO are Baker and Falkins, some of the services having them rated 4*. Neither looks like they would ever start an SEC game to me in their entire career...not fast enough and not quick either.

but I was shocked Baker got an early offer much less an offer at all.
come on yall, this whole board, myself included, jumped down that stupid kid's throat when he came on here saying baker wasn't worth a schollie, rightfully so. we can't have it both ways though and as soon as someone gets dropped claim they were never good enough anyways and we have 15,000 more on our board better than him, blah, blah. I'm not saying you specifically, I dont even think you were in that thread anyways, plus you're probly one of the few guys on here that could say such a thing and actually be being objective, but i'm just saying let's try to keep this board a little more objective and level headed relative to the lunacy around here.

because, i mean, if we start to act like gumps, well then what the frick is the point of hating the gumps

and neighbors never starts at fullback here imo. i dont know what progression you guys are seeing, especially since he hasnt gotten too many snaps since JC's injury, but the guy whiffs way too often for miles to end up using him. if we dont get a pure fb recruit and/or if neighbors doesnt step it up significantly after jc leaves, miles will just convert someone like in the past - there are about six positions that you can draw fullbacks from, and run blocking isn't that hard. i wouldn't be worried regardless

I said back in September that we need to make this move. Split time with Copeland and Hilliard at FB. It opens our offense up and keeps both fresh.

Yeah I agree I've seen both kids play in person and wasn't impressed especially with Chuck Baker Noel Ellis Locked him down he didn't have one reception in that game, that really raised some questions for me.

Is this confirmed yet? Is it time for me to take them off the committment list?
