I'm done tailing people on CBB. Tailing just isn't my style. I like betting because I like figuring out the puzzle. I'm either gonna start coming up with my own picks or just sit CBB season out and be content with the 7K I won on CFB.

If I had won 7k playing cfb I would be happy with that. Unfortunately, as much as I like cfb, I am much better at cbb. My two most confident picks went 0-2 and my other picks went 5-0. I really need to bet even units.

In my experience, betting even units in basketball is the way to go. I feel the exact opposite way about CFB, where my wager amount walks in lockstep with my confidence level.

I came to that conclusion just from my observation that in CBB, I could bet 10 games and win 6 of them, but I didn't know which I was going to win, and I didn't necessarily win the six that I was most confident in. I think it all goes back to CBB simply being a flukier game than CFB -- because (a) the games are just really short and (b) the three point line.

I've now done five full seasons of CFB, and this would be my fifth season doing CBB, but I don't think I'm gonna keep at it. What I learned in my four years of betting CBB is that I can beat it, but that a lot of research is necessary for that to happen. There are just sooooo many goddamn teams. I was on it last season. By the time February rolled around, I couldn't lose. But it takes a while to wrap your brain around the CBB landscape, and I'm not sure I feel like doing it this year. Especially because I did have a pretty nice little CFB season.
