What do you like about it? Do you identify with the artists personally and the rock lifestyle? Do the lyrics do it for you?

I am in college and I've heard it all from growing up in Louisiana and Michigan. Aside from a couple of stones, zepplin, skynyrd, ccr, and allman brothers, i don't see the appeal.

Am I missing something? Or should I just stick to my outlaw country and hood shite?

Yeah, you missed being on the planet in the late 60's and early to mid 70's.

i introduced a bunch of guys at the warehouse i used ot work at that only listen to hardcore gangster rap to Dark Side of the Moon, and they loved it. In turn, they introduced me to a bunch of rap music, which i now listen to daily.

Go into music with an open mind, and you wont be disappointed.

Go into music with expectations or looking for something and you will never find it.

Music, in all forms, is not something meant to be understood but rather it is meant to be enjoyed.

Music is music. Nothing more, nothing less. And never let anyone tell you otherwise.

I was going to say Classic rock does something to me that I cannot explain. The rock genre has not and will not ever sound like it did back then.

But really tho, I cant explain why I love classic rock. Electric guitars, great vocals, great lyrics. Plus the entire social landscape of the country back in the 60's and 70's, when rock was at its peak.

i rarely listen to music on the radio. I could listen to the music on my ipod for a week straight and not hear the same song twice.

Good point. Just like pop stations, the classic rock stations play mostly from a relatively small selection. Ironically, they don't play the "vast majority". I LOVE classic rock (grew up in 70's) but don't listen to the stations myself.
