Anyone else think this Arky move smells desperate?

Seriously, going after a coach in its own division? I realize Ole Miss picked up Nutt, but that was AFTER Arky fired him. Saban was gone from LSU for two seasons before taking the job at Bama. Those two situations are different.

If there really is an offer, it smells like a power play to me. Either Arkansas thinks it's a done deal or they are willing to blow their wad on a "dream" candidate.

Why is it so unbelievable that miles would have interest from another team. It's like the people that hate him so much do not want to believe that the most successful coach in team history could be wanted somewhere else. Mind boggling.

I have no doubt they extended feelers to his agent. I highly doubt he has a legit "offer."
He probably isn't the "sexy" hire Arkansas fans want either.

Was not meant to be a slight against the program in general. This year has been a train wreck and they are desperate to fix it. I happen to be one of the people that believe Arkansas is a good job. IMO it is the best SEC job open this year.

It a move to make LSU give Miles a raise and an extension. It's pretty diabolical, IMO.

Miles shares the same agent as someone we are actually after.
There is no offer for Miles on the table. He does not fit what we are looking for in a head coach. He has been great at LSU and will continue to be great for you guys. He just isn't a good fit here.

Ark has some powerful boosters they have to please. They probably have to make a run at a big name before settling on someone that will actually go there.
