Why would Jimbo Fisher leave FSU for Auburn or Tennessee?

Does FSU not pay much?

It seems he has it made in Tallahassee, and will always be in the mix to win the ACC and make it to a BCS game, get great recruits, etc...

If he goes to either Auburn or Tennessee it would seem as if the pressure would be through the roof to win and win instantly or the fan base would continue to stay mad.

Call me crazy, but if I'm Jimbo Fisher Id stay at FSU.

His agent is Jimmy Sexton. That's all you need to know to understand the situation in Tallahassee.

Yep.

I could see Jimbo's interest in getting back into the SEC, but the is has Sexton written all over it.

He must be pulling a Houston Nutt type deal to up his salary to that of the top 5 HCs in college football.

ACC is terrible. Dude was 10-1 and was 20th in the computer polls.

And I didn't mean to impugn Jimbo - obviously Tennessee has that history and Jimbo has connections to Auburn that I'm sure he maintained. But, still - he's doing well at FSU - he may be facing a hotseat in a couple of years, but - aside from immediate money or coming back to the SEC, these seem like lateral moves (right now) at best - both those programs are dumpster fires right now. FSU has a reputation of staying with a guy - Tennessee and Auburn can't say that, at least recently (Tennessee in one of the worst decisions since LSU hired Hallman, fired Fulmer to hire Kiffin - Auburn is firing Chizik 2 seasons removed from a BCS - almost an admission that it had little to do with Chizik, and everything to do with the "techniques" used to get Newton on the team).

I don't even get why Jimbo is in such demand. Didn't his team lose to NC State when they were big favorites? He recruits well but didn't Florida just handle them in their own house? He had one good win this year, Clemson. Didn't South Carolina handle them as well? Last year they got smoked by Oklahoma, Clemson, etc. Yet, we have LSU fans actually wanting him. Don't get it.

This has really been discussed a lot...

But if the money is right I could see Jimbo leaving.

With that being said, both jobs would be a downgrade from FSU.

I wouldn't want Jimbo. good coach but name one big game he's won.

In fact, his teams have totally underwhelmed in big games.

I don't see any good reason why Jimbo would leave. Unless he hates it there or something. I'd guess at best, this is just Hart getting his buddy a pay raise.

You actually had a really great, well-thought out and written post. Then this came:

and now you look like a giant butthurt pussy.
