Lets say we win out and earn the 6 see and all of the division leaders remain the same. Could you guys imagine the following path playing out.

Wild card weekend: beating the bears@ Chicago

Divisional round:
we give Atlanta the 3rd loss of the year. All three courtesy of us.

Nfc championship game: going back to San Fran and exorcising the Deamons of last year and last week.

Superbowl: in our house, as the 6 seed, beating Brady, Manning or Houston. Could you imagine the look on ole Rogers's face when he passes that trophy to Benson and Loomis knowing Sean Payton has been signed to a new contract and is walking into the dome because the season is now over.

Who would play who in the inevitable Disney movie?

I once dreamt I met Tom Venson. It was awesome. He took me for a ride in his training camp golf cart and we watched Gleason's punt block on repeat on his Droid.

I can't even imagine the number or gray hairs I'd sprout having to watch that unfold week to week.

No kidding. I'd get grey hair and destroy my liver with whiskey.

That means Atlanta won some playoff games. I'll take it... :)

You'd be content with this? Even if it were to be a loss to the Saints?

Haha, no - never content with losing to the Saints but at least we'd get one playoff monkey off the back. Hopefully beating the Saints monkey gets knocked off Thursday.

This season is a bust for me (realistically) if we don't win 1-2 playoff games. 1 minimum. Super Bowl is obviously main goal but need to be realistic. It's tough to achieve that.

If we won as the six seed, wouldn't we play the one seed Atlanta in the second round? So I don't think your scenario is possible assuming Atlanta is the one seed.

Just realized that and corrected the OP. I got way too ahead of myself.

This would also mean we'd prevent the Falcons from winning a single playoff game again. Even better IMO.

Still a chance for another team to grab the #1 seed.

I would be the happiest person on planet earth if the OP's scenario happened.
