Who in their right mind would want to come here and coach?

The only way to make most LSU fans happy is for a coach to come in win every game by 200+points, have a 500 yard rusher every game, have the back up qb throw for 10 touchdowns and 1000 yards per game, win the SEC and the NC, and the fire him for not being good enough.

I love LSU, but we some of the worst and most unrealistic fans in college football. Many wanted their Lord and Savior Nicky Christ run out of town the year he left.

You think the fans have any part in this? They show up on gameday, home and away, to support the team.

Someone who wants to make good money with a fertile recruiting base.

If the idiot fans were that big of a problem, Les would have bailed already. For every dumbass fan that hates him, there are people who love him.

Anyone who wanted to make millions of dollars at a school with two recent national championships, membership in the nation's premiere conference, peerless facilities, and one of the country's most fertile recruiting bases.

Surprisingly, a vast majority of FB HC"s are not huge pussies.

Why, dear lord why, is a certain percentage of our fanbase stuck in 1988?

People, we have a marquee program. Stop being so scared.

Anyway, MIles isn't leaving.

All LSU fans want is an offense to match the talent and a more aggressive philosophy.

Coaches and players give little attention to message boards and internet gurus. Not saying they don't see some but it doesn't dictate their lives or their decisions. The fan base won't drive Miles off.

Every legit team wants to go undefeated every year and win it all; just isn't a reality for everyone. Our fan base is no different than others.

Right or wrong many, many coaches would think "if the village idiot can win ten games every season there imagine what I could do."

They'd be lining up outside Alleva's door. Don't kid yourself

My biggest fear would be the ability of Alleva to not hire the next Gene Chizik. Him leading the search would scare me much more than Les actually leaving.

You really have no clue. Coaches don't pay a whole lot of attention to what fans are bitching about, especially when they're winning. Actually don't have the time to anyway.
Trust me, there would be a stampede to Joe Alleva's door.

Just LSU? You've just described the following fanbases:

Bama
Florida
Texas
Auburn
Arkansas
Ohio State

EVERY top tier program has fans that behave this way.

Dude won 80% of his games. Anyone think Alleva wants to hire another coach is crazy. This is straight up Arkansas desperation. Miles will get another bump along with the assistants. Time to move on to kicking UT's arse in the Cotton Bowl.

what are we to expect from a multi million dollar coach except to win, by hiring coaches that are the best in the nation, the only thing that can be said about Joe is remember Trent
