Yep - not good enough. We should have gone 105-0 and won 8 NCs. Unacceptable.

And we lost 3 games over the last 2 years, 2 to top 2 ranked Alabama and 1 to top 10 ranked Florida. What the hell?

Hire Mark Hudspeth - he and UL-Laf did better at Florida this year than LSU did.

He's a good coach, not an irreplaceable one.

Better to lose him a year early than a year late.

Based on history and odds, I'm pretty comfortable saying his record is irreplaceable.

That completely disregards context. You have to understand how poorly LSU has been managed for most of its history. That Athletic Department is dead. We are in an era of monetary commitment and excellence. The next coach will win big.

Ill take it.

Lsu football is damn important to me. I was a fan during the hallman "time of unspeakable darkness" so that is a damn sexy record.

We have gone from being sec teams' homecoming game to competing for mnc's.

I am ready for him to leave just to shut up the idiots who want him gone. Ask Tennessee how firing Fulmer worked out?

How about based on nearly every other major program over the last eight years, if Les leaves this year, we will not match his record.

Your context seems to be your wild expectations in contradiction to reality. It is true that the next coach would have a good shot at success, thanks in large part to Miles, but the success we've seen has been unusual at least. It could happen, obviously, but to EXPECT it is not logical. I'd say it's illogical to expect Les to repeat it should he stay another 8 years.
