Need a cheese gift idea
Posted by jmarto1 on 11/26/12 at 11:44 pm00
The person I am getting the gift for absolutely loves cheese. I've done the cheese of the month and the gourmet gift baskets. I've spent the past hour searching online but gift baskets are all I seem to come across. Any ideas?
I would buy a nice cheese board along with a nice set of cheese knives. Then they have something that lasts. And we have probably 6 or 7 different ones and use them quite often and on a rotating basis so even if they already have one it's ok to get something different.
Sir La Table has some nice ones that aren't expensive. Or just a set of cheese knives and give a board next year if that's what your budget allows. Or get a book on cheese

1 Brick Velveeta
1 can Ro-Tel mild
1 can Ro-Tel medium
Thank me later.
Actually, find a whoremonger, I mean cheesemonger and look for suggestions there.
And no cheese addict would ever turn down a nice hunk of 5 year aged cheddar from Wisconsin.

There are a couple of books out there on cheese. But look, if they are a cheese fan, just get them more cheese. That is what they want.
St. James Cheese Co. online will ship and they have great stock.

if you're in Nola any time soon pay a visit to Keife & Co. and let them steer you in the right direction

I'd love this under my tree
quote:
Every year, someone sends me cheese from Cowgirl Creamery that I enjoy. Google the site and see what you think.
That might be good for what I am looking for. How stinky are the cheeses? The more they smell like feet the better for her.
