No pun intended with the huge comment. Sorry Mark.

In Mangino's last 5 seasons at Kansas he posted a 38-24 record with a 26-24 mark in conference. He also took them to bowl games in 3 out of 5 years with a 3-0 record. Kansas won the freaking Orange Bowl!

In the 3 seasons post Mangino, Kansas has gone 6-29 with a 1-26 conference record. It'll probably be 6-30 (1-27) after this Saturday against WVU.

Good Lord! They should have just suspended the guy for like half a season. He probably brought Kansas football to the best they can hope to be. I guess they tried to re-gain the fat guy aura with Charlie Weiss but that hasn't worked out.

His teams were really good...it's a shame he had whiny bitches for players. Complete overreaction.

That's when KU said "frick football".

He was caught up in the uprising against former Bill Snyder assistants. It's amazing, everyone loves Snyder, but apparently all his old assistant coaches are abusive assholes.

and on the flip side, does one get the idea that Mangino doesn't want to coach anymore? If he did, he might work on his image and maybe have a gastric surgery, lose some weight and start coaching again. But you really haven't heard a peep out of him and as far as I know, his name doesn't come up in coaching searches.

The fat man knows 3 things.

1. Any carb is a good carb
2. Football
3. Bitches don't be good at football

He got there with one of the easiest schedules in the history of college football. Did not have to play OU or Texas that year.

They lost to the only legitimate team they played (Mizzou).

As soon as the legitimate teams rotated back on the schedule, he got exposed to what he always was....a shitty coach.

Mangino didn't deserve that job. He rode the coat tails of Lattimore, Long, Miller, Smith, Manny, and everyone else involved at OU and KState.

I feel like I read an article a while back where he was talking about getting back into the game.

He needs to coach again, someplace like a Kentucky.

Not sure if serious...

I don't care why anybody gets a job if they show they can do it as well as Mangino did at Kansas

Very serious. Mason had KU rolling and when TA came in Roy pulled the bullshite move. Mangino did not deserve that job and was given it because of KState connections. Lattimore and Long covered Mangino up.

I hate RockChalk but if you are a coach at KU and you get your team ranked and your home field is not named Fog Allen you are doing something incredible!!

Buffet or football. That is the question. Phil Robertson of Duck Dynasty picked Duck hunting over football. Some people have higher priorities than football
