Here comes A&M... Recruiting Texas just got a lot more difficult

No big deal with our sick 2013 class that includes Tre'davious, Rashard Robinson and Jefferson to go with the players we lead for 2014. Paris, Toney Brown, Simmons, Alexander and Hootie, along with Voorhies and Hardeman (maybe) already committed. We can't take them all

This is one of those players I would have liked to see at LSU, but I don't think we'll be hurting for guys at his position.
In the past though, someone like him may have ended up at UT or OU.

Not a huge loss. The LSU staff is going to be real particular about who they take from Texas DB wise in 2014. They are waiting to see what Paris, and Brown do before they start giving the ok to other prospects.

I'm not upset we lost a 5'9" CB. He may be really good but all things equal I'd rather have a equally good CB 6' or over. Too many tall WRs in the SEC.

I actually agree with this. We already have a 5'9" 2014 CB committed. Don't really need two of those.

Agree not a big loss considering the board but I'd take Harvey over Hardeman in a heartbeat. Chances are both end up at TAM anyway, if Harvey sticks, which I'm not convinced will happen. Long, long way to go with '14 kids that have had 3 leaders in the span of 7-8 months.

these are texas kids and wouldn't be shocked to see them end up in college station. i said it when they were invited that i didn't like it. Texas being down gives them "big shite" status in texas to a degree. With Sumlin's offense and Manziel they are an awfully attractive destination for texas kids in the golden triangle like tony brown.

said this the day we let A&M in, they now own Texas and already had some kids in LA.
they will hurt LSU bigtime in TX. LSU had the SEC angle when they went to TX now A&M has it and they are closer

jesus there are some chicken littles on the rant. If A&M is the new Texas, LSU is poised to be Oklahoma. Which is to say we'll have more exposure and success in Texas than ever. You pussies act like our roster is littered with TX kids and the faucet is about to run dry. We have ZERO commits from Texas this year and we have a top 5 class.

why you popkerning me, boy?
We have two starters from TX at the moment. Our recruiting in TX could literally only go up.

this is a bang on comparison imo. LSU will come into Texas and get 3-4 top recruits annually going forward (unless you screw it up). It's not you that we're impacting really

Hardeman's ship has probably sailed with us. We have 3 CBs in 2013 class and now 2 already in 2014. We have to make room if an elite kid like M Alexander (2013), Brown (2014) or Watkins (2014) wanted to jump on board but probably don't have room for even a very good player like Hardeman.

if by brown you mean tony brown, then you shouldn't count on him
Posted on 11/26/12 at 6:25 pm to sunnydaze
not counting on any of them. Simply pointing out that unless that sort of talent wants a spot, we probably aren't taking another corner

If we get Tony Brown, Edward Paris, Chris Hardeman, Hootie Jones, and Devin Voorhies to sign next year, I would be ecstatic. Good luck to Harvey

I got blasted when I said beware of pulling for aTm to beat Bama this year... created a big recruiting competition for TX talent.
