Aside from MLB the Show, Vita has been a disapointment for me so far.

I don't know what kind of games I WANT in a hand held so I guess that doesn't help.

I do, however, love the PSP and PSOne games. I've got more old school stuff on my Vita than anything else, which I think makes for a fun experience. Maybe if NCAA hits Vita next year, or when more games that are Crossplay with PS3 are released I'll feel like it was worth the $ I spent on it.

I was a victim of the MLB the Show commerical. The "Omg I can take it with me!" thanks to the Sony Cloud or whatever. But alas, that's not even close to the case with any game out there besides the Show. I felt decieved at first.

Yeah, I still haven't even played The Show yet, I've been 100%'ing virtua tennis and playing Rayman when I get time (also download Monster Hunter Freedom United psp), then again I actually played baseball, so I don't even know if I would like a baseball game. I do love Tennis though, and I played it in high school as well..

ETA: I'm glad they have JRPGs and RPGs coming out on the system now, THOSE are the genre I really really like.

The show was awesome.
I'd suggest if you want a good experience, you need it on the PS3 as well, as detailed player creation and some options that exist on the PS3 do not exist on the vita version.

But once you've got a franchise or a career started, it was a very smooth transition between PS3 and Vita.

My only complaint was that you can only have one game saved on the cloud at a time. I hope this isn't the case when more Crossplay games come out.

it really just sounds like you like the FPS genre

If this is the case, try the Resistance game as well. It's a shooter and supposed to be better than CoD...

I don't know if you've tried it, but the Assasin's Creed for Vita is fun as well.

Did the story ever leave the animus on this game? I played a good bit of it, but could never get into it 100% because I was really missing the out of animus portions from the main games..

Black ops is good for a multiplayer fix... Nothing more, nothing less.

The show has occupied the most of my time and I don't even have a favorite pro team.

Madden is okay but it was rushed. Which is why NCAA didn't put anything out yet bc they didn't want to rush to put out a shitty game. So look for madden and NCAA 14 to be legit.

And I have mortal kombat just to mix it up. I'm probably going to get the psp version of soul calibur 5 through the online ps store. The only thing I don't like about these 2 are that they don't have online play.

Gotta keep in mind that the vita is pretty new and they come out with new games just about every month. After the first year they should have a better library. The games will only get better.

I got the vita the day I started this thread so I've only played the games mentioned.

Haven't played racing games in a whole but I'd definitely start renting or using gamefly totest before buying.

The best thing about the show is the "Road to the show" which is basically baseballs "road to glory".

Love that you can play only your guy. For instance, I play second. I bat and only play defense when I'm involved. So it skips all the boring stuff. You upgrade your star the way you would NCAA. Performance points, milestones, streaks etc.

Only con is if you want to pitch you can't bat.

That might actually be a pro for me.. I always suck at batting in baseball games.

year my first thought too. The gameplay might be okay though.

I'm sure GT will make it. I think eventually, just about all legit PS games will be on vita. Just too soon to be throwing out everything in the library.

I almost put the game down bc I had a bad connection and went straight to online play. Like "wtf! It's impossible to hit on here!" but it got easy to hit and with a better connection online isn't bad.

you can juice up your connection, power, visibility and such. I put no points towards my fielding bc @ second base it either comes straight to you or is thrown to you. With minimal fielding skills I rarely commit an error.

I have never cared for baseball and basketball games but the road to the show option is awesome and keeps it interesting.

I absolutely love Wipeout. It's my favorite launch title for sure. It's super fun and one of the best racers I've ever played.

I didn't recommend it because it's not something a lot of people enjoy. Very high speed races with combat in there as well.

You can bat if you're on an NL team or playing cross divisional.
Whats crappy though is that I maxed out all of my pitching after so many seasons and started to pour points into my hitting.
Then I got handed hitting milestones because my hitting was so high I think the game thought I was a batter.
Stuff like "in the next 4 series, draw 6 walks."
But what the game fails to recognize is that my next 4 series are all against AL opponents and I get zero at bats. Eventually I got demoted from Ace, down to Starter in the rotation down to the minors.
It took 2 seasons of letting my hitting skills decay away to stop them from trying to give me hitting milestones.

I was litterally throwing 5+ no hitters a year, 300 strike outs with like a 1.8 era and I was stuck in the minors because the game was giving me "Hit 4 extra base hits in the next 2 series" in the minors when every team has a DH.

All in all it was a 5 year career swing to get booted down to the minors, lose my hitting skills, then get promoted back up.

Need for speed most wanted is supposed to be a good racing game for the Vita. Havent played it but most likely will when I get done with a backlog.

Baddest

How are you stopping from playing Persona if you love jrpg's? That game would be exactly what you want. I have Ragnarok as well but Persona is exactly what you want in an RPG "grind, level up etc"

Anyone that hasn't added me my PSN is :nesz in the message say something so I know its you from here. Many random friend invites from near.

Yeah frick that. Better start upping my fielding I guess. My bats are off the charts. I need to work on base running bc I got a PM from the coach saying he'd bench my arse if I didn't stop stealing when he said not to.

Does anyone use the near me a lot? I use it just bc I travel a lot. Mine says I've traveled over 5k miles bc I had a layover in Atlanta and another in salt lake. :nearme:

The only thing is, the "treasures" I get are always for other games I don't have. The only thing I got that I could use was someone's class package on COD. Which would have been great if I didn't have all the stuff he had.

Still cool to be able to see everyone around you and what they're playing.
