Its from an old desktop.

That is a really old card with a seriously old architecture.

Plus you won't be able to do CFx. That is the point of getting an APU correct? Since we are on points of APUs, they are kinda of silly if not in a small form factor. That is the point of an all in one chip.

It isn't that bad for a budget build. At less the inside is painted black.

Apevia, Chiefmax, DiabloTek... those are garbage cases.

That reminds me of the days of PC Chips motherboards.

Wow.. bring me back to 2000 why don't ya!

ETA:

I think my grandparents computer had a PChips board. I threw it away without looking. It was some type of iTX form factor that was junk. I just put them a new board and APU in it, runs well now.

I still have an old working computer with some house brand case as thin as aluminum foil, a PC chips motherboard, an OEM pentium 4, Gigaram memory, Magnetic Data Technologies brand hard drive, and a power supply that came with the case. It's incredible.

With that post you got me trying to remember the specs from my first Windows PC.

I think it had a Pentium 1 @ 133MHz with 64MB RAM and a 16GB or 32GB HDD.

I don't recall my 300 having the inside painted. There are far better options in that price range for a budget build though. I hated that damn case

Looking up the specs for what was awesome in 1996 is just awesome to see how far it has evolved and will continue to evolve.

I think so also.

The NewEgg photos show the inside painted.

I know right. My first Windows PC lasted our family until about 2002-03. We upgraded in 1999 but I remember but it still was kept as a secondary computer.

Blue, thats the case you recommended to me...

But you guys are getting off track this isn't about old computers. Its about geauxtime9's first build....haha jk.

I'm still a little confused here. What exactly do i need to crossfire cards? Could i use that pos card until i can afford to upgrade to a better card. Or should i not try and run dual monitors.

crossfire and overclocking and all that jizz is new to me.

Stout, i'm stuck with the 7750 for now. I bought it less than 3 months ago to put in my old desktop thinking it would help in gaming.

The 7750 CFx is good enough I guess.

Since you purchased it already, that is why you are going with an APU?

Well, AMD says you SHOULD be able to run dual monitors/eyefinity with that APU and card but I think it would be a push to run it especially if your monitors are 1920x1080.

Wow, have fun with that.

Dual monitors won't be a problem. You are are only rendering images 1 resolution (1920x1080) on 1 monitor. The other isn't doing shite really.

I gotcha. Does Trinity APUs do shine when CFx, but just don't understand the full ATX form factor when buying an APU. APUs are really designed for smaller form factor builds.

None the less, you could get by and have better options with upgrades on the full ATX board.

I'm getting lost with what we are even talking about now.
