They obviously need someone else that they trust in pass protection.

That's what I was thinking. He's being brought in b/c he's a smart guy who'll keep Manning from getting leveled when he's back there.

Why would you think his reference to TM's and JJ's recent legal difficulties is race related?

why would he think that a RB who hit 1,000 yards one time is the greatest anything in LSU history, let alone greatest overall player? hmmmm

Imagine that, those 2 played on same team and we won a NC.
In the mean time since we traded those caliber people and players for tm7 and JJ.
Hmmmm, go figure.

+1

except for maybe Bert Jones. or Charlie Alexander. Or Billy Cannon. Or Tommy Cassanova. Or Leonard Marshall. Or Henry Thomas. Or Y.A. Tittle. Or Kevin Faulk .. just to name a few.

Well it's apparent Maximus never played any sort o organized team sports.

So much more than yards that made jacob Hester great,
I really just did have to explain that to you didn't I?

I prefer Dorsey more decorated and just as much an all around great guy and team player. To each his own.

you have hokie gajan, sammy martin, and Todd Kinchen 2-4 on your greats. And I didn't play football if i dont agree that they are better than anyone with a tan.

Hokie and Sammy had better career stats at LSU than Hester, and all three of those guys did more in the NFL.

I like Hester and everything, but "best Tiger ever"?

The best part of this scenario is that Jacob will now have 5 seasons in the NFL and will qualify for the NFL's pension. 5th year is HUGE for players.

See, good things just seem to happen to certain people.
Others not so much.

Could be a good thing for Hester. He a bit of a tweener. He doesn't have the speed to be a featured running back and he doesn't have to size of a traditional fullback.

That said, he did well as the feature back against SEC teams and has never really had a chance to prove whether he can make it at running back or not. He was buried on the RB depth chart in San Diego. If we didn't have Collins doing a good job at FB, I'd wouldn't have minded Hester as a Saint. He seems to compliment how the Saints use fullbacks.
