Alabama - They beat LSU (#7) at LSU - Quality
Florida - Beat LSU (#7) at home and South Carolina (#10)
UGA - Beat Florida (#4)

That was a pretty dumb question.

Florida is the only team that had a harder path than us to 10 wins

5 top 15 teams, 0 top 5

LSU 4 top 10, 2 top 5

A&M 3 top 10 teams, 2 top 5

Bama 2 top 10 teams, 0 top 5

UGA 2 top 10 teams, 1 top 5

USCe 3 top 10 teams, 2 top 5

Like I said if there is such thing as a good and bad 10-2, I don't think this can be considered a bad one

And how many have LSU beaten? Let me save you the trouble....

A top 5 team in USCe and an A&M team ranked in the teens when we played them, on the road.

But let's be miserable because we won 10 games.

It's not just the record - it's about whether we're playing up to our full potential. Would I be happy if we went 12-0? Of course. But if we went 12-0 and won every game 7-6 with lots of penalties and turnovers, I'd be very frustrated because we're not playing up to our full potential. It's ok to have a game or two every year where we're flat, but to see it too many times in a season, it's frustrating. When we routinely play below our capability, you have to look at the coaching. To not do so is just denial.

not BIG games, games you HAVE to win.

So big games =/= quality wins?

We have to win every game to give ourselves the best shot at a championship dumbass. I really don't see your point in this thread. We won 10 games and lost 2. It doesn't matter who we beat or lost to

I see your point but you also have to give the coaching the credit for getting the team to the 10-2 record.

I'm not turning a blind eye to what happened in the Bama game, don't misunderstand, but it's done. To hold a grudge makes no sense.

2-2 against good teams, 6-0 against bad teams.

That's supposed to be exciting?

Not sure if you were addressing this at me or just responding to my post.

I'm not disappointed in the least bit. Quite frankly, given what we have lost during the course of this season, we have probably over acheived in my opinion.

According to the fickle fans in our fan base we have anyway, since most thought immediately after the UF game that we would lose 4-5 games.

south carolina and A&M were pretty big games....
We also were in the 2 games we lost I see nothing wrong with this season and you're a pathetic fan if you say we didn't have any significant wins.

I think what frustrates the LSU fanbase is we don't play at our best every week, this goes for both coaches and players.

While 10-2 is not bad by any means it doesn't get me excited. aTm and South Carolina were good wins but since when do we consier oursleves on their level? I mean most on this board if they were honest don't believe aTm is a premier program, nor do they have the caliber of athletes we have. The important ganes were lost this year plain and simple. Really both losses could be pinned on the coaching staff so to give them credit would be a bit generous. We did lose some players but we do every year. I would say Alexander and Turner are better players than the starters before them. Now Chris Faulk was a true loss at LT but Dwyorazck is no slouch (i know he's playing out of position). We also didn't have Oregon and West Viriginia on our schedule this year so you have to consider that. I'm just underwhelmed by the job this staff has done over the last 5 years with the level of talent coming in each year.

A&M and South Carolina have 10 wins and lost to 2 top 10 teams. A&M beat bama at their house and south carolina beat Uga bad. Do I need to remind you Bama or Uga is going to play for a national championship. Both A&M and South Carolina are playing at elite levels this year. Seriously how can people not realize this LSU team still had a great regular season.

Only idiots that want to ignore the obvious issues that the team has (pointing out which is normal to do as a fan) say this.

Dude. Who cares...the season is over. You can continue to down a team that went 10-2 and has the exact same winning % against top 10 teams as the two participants in the SECCG or you can get perspective and realize that while it might not have lived up to the expectations from the spring it wasnt the same team we thought wed have back in the spring (Faulk, Mathieu etc.) and 10-2 .500 in 4 games against the top 10 is solid and with UGA or Bama's schedules wed be in the same position as they are right now.

Because we have shitty fans that expect us to go undefeated every single season and win the national championship no matter what and anything less than that sucks.

Wasn't addressing you, just responding. Didn't mean to make it sound like I was addressing you.

I posted that in an attempt so some of our fans could get some perspective but they seem to rather slit their wrists over a 10 win season and not consider all the hurdles that the team overcame as the season went on. Wishful thinking, I guess.

No kidding and I don't get it. Our fan base is horrible. How many people on here said we would lose 4-5 games after we lost to Florida in week 6. Then they saw we beat USC and A&M and then still thought we would lose by 21 to Bama. When we lost to Bama on the last second drive, everyone then thought back to "Oh we should be undefeated and be playing for the national championship". It is amazing how quickly these "fans" will shite all over the team and say how badly they underperformed and how bad the coaches suck. It isn't easy to lose the number of KEY starters that LSU did during the preseason and season and go 10-2 with losses to #2 and #4.

Oh well, at least there are still a few of us that appreciate an 11-2 record (assuming a bowl win here) and a top 5 national finish.

show me another team that played

Florida, S.Carolina, Texas A&M, and Bama all in a row

do that with a new QB, and shifting OL, and true freshmen all over the field.
