it's a good bowl. but everybody is just pissed at what almost happened and is venting. we were very close to a bcs bowl and a spot in the seccg. lots of people think one or two plays in the bama game made the difference. of course, that never works because there were one or two plays that went our way too but fans always forget about that.

We have a better than the chicken bowl team. But with 6 10 win sec teams there will be a few inches bowls they shouldn't be in.

It's poli-board stuff really.

Chick-fil-a owner(s) is/are of some type of religious mindset that disaproves of gay marriage or some such. There was a big to do about it earlier this year where mayors of some towns said they wouldn't let chick-fil-a's open in their cities (I know, I know). Then all the people opposed to gay marriage (or accordng to some of them, in favor of free speech) went out and waited in long lines for couple of days to buy chick-fil-a food.

You don't keep up with current events much, do you?

Though this kind of explains why they dropped Peach from the name. I always thought that was kind of a gay name for a bowl game

Nah.

Just typical busy bodies bitching about something. Last week it was walmart. For a week this summer it was CFA.

They were just pissed b/c the owner dared not support gay marriage.

Please, whoever started this thread, don't mention the gays on this site in the future. There's enough about them in the news these days. Please help to keep this site void of all talk about gays and homosexuality. Thank you for your cooperation.

(It was tough not using more descriptive words in this post, but I refrained.)

That's mighty civil of you. You think refraining from using derogatory terms is somehow noble?

Are you afraid you'll catch the "gay"?

Chick-Fil-A supports, among other similar groups, the Family Research Council. They've done this for many years. This summer though, the CEO publicly affirmed the support on a radio show, particularly against gay marriage. That started the brouhaha.

It never works because we still would have to win 10 other games and the appropriate teams still would have had to lose. No guarantee that happens even with a win against bama. Too many variables in a season. shite bama needed help this year again to get in. And they actually still have to play a very good team to do so. People saying we are this and that from a bcs title are stupid. i could what if almost every game in a college football season.

This is what we call hindsight. Again, people were saying 7-5, 8-4 after UF game. Now they are saying we could be in bcs title game blah blah blah. never gave this team a chance, now they want to.
