So is Karr's best player out for the rest of the season?

Throw stones? I'm just standing up for a school. almost 90% of their starters have gone there since elementary! All of their star players have been there since they were born besides one who came in the 6th grade.

Well yeah, you don't recruit entire teams. This isn't the SEC. Like I said, I'll let it lie.

The other 9.9% came in middle school lol. There is only one person I can think of who came in high school and he isn't anything special.

If parents want to hold them back they allow them to be held back but they don't suggest it unless your really young for your grade. And even then it is suggested for educational reasons, not sports.

but is 60% or greater of the boys playing sports.. requesting to hold back?

I think most of the WM and OCS kids are hold backs. Maybe South La teams should start doing this.

WM won't win state this year.
Neville wins easily IMO.
No one in 1a deserves to even be on the field with OCS.

Oh, and to say that they are all from "1 Parish" is a joke.

? Ouachita Parish is Ouachita Parish. There may be a Monroe and a West Monroe but all 3 are located within the HS Football dominant area of Ouachita Parish. I know it's hard for those from down south to swallow but it is what it is. I remember back in the day when the old 2-5A district(WM, Ouachita, Neville Ruston and Bastrop) had at least 1 team and sometimes 2 that were in the finals every year and most of the time winning it. Down south has the baseball for the most part but when it comes to football NELA is daddy. I want to say that there have been 27-28 championships won by teams from the old 2-5A and about 33-35 by teams from Ouachita Parish since they started playing the championship games. Ouachita Parish is made up of 7 schools that have played in 49 championship games as of 2011which is second most to East Baton Rouge Parish at 50 which is made up of 14 schools.

There are holdbacks, but they MIGHT make up 10-15% of the team.

Just saw the height/weight for Barbe. I really don't see how they can stop WM from pounding the ball. They are tiny and will have a huge disadvantage Friday. Rummel looked small and fast as well the other night vs Ouachita on the news. Looking to see if I can watch the game now. Was supposed to watch that game, then my Dad got all pissy because he paid for my WM tickets since I was out of town. 5A is a toss up, but I don't see how anyone can count WM out.

Bandit, they do have a lot of holdbacks. Maybe not as much as when we were in the area, but over the past couple of years they've started doing it more.
