Nothing's better than Del Swag ripping off the new sexy warmup and trotting onto the floor

The Mississippi Valley kid got called for traveling like 3 times because he just couldn't get around Del Piero

This.

I could see us getting 8 or 9 as well

Nobody wants it more than me and it is hard not to be optimistic with the way we have played so far. But then I think of the SEC and how tough the competition is. I remember Kentucky dominating us on the boards and just putting it up, putting it up until they finally get it in. Kentucky was great so that wouldn't be so bad but Florida, Alabama and Ole Miss did the same thing. And we were a good rebounding team last year. But if we can rain the three's, get the turnovers while keeping ours down we could still do well. A lot to ask for though.

Our problem last year is that we weren't held accountable on offense and put up the shittiest shots in all of mankind. If we ever got down by double digits in the 2nd half of any game, we were basically done for.

No we weren't. Trent's teams never blocked out. Our total rebounding stats were inflated due to hamilton and obryant missing layup after layup and getting 2 or 3 offensive rebounds everytime, but defensively we were horrible. Don't know how anybody can say otherwise. So far this year guys are actually blocking out and getting rebounds. Hopefully we can keep improving and not allow the other team to get many 2nd chances. Thursday will be a good test with a couple more big guys coming in.

what were our stats with regard to offensive and defensive rebounding? That would be fun to look at.

fun one to see:
scoring offense last year: 224. This year, 24.

Seeing Dirty Del Piero dunk was like seeing Jesus release doves over Mt. Zion.

I hope that JOB stays for his junior season. He, Hickey, and the the new guys coming in could make it a very special season.

He'll be back, unless he just explodes the rest of this season

hope there's a good crowd for the game Thursday night. It'd be nice to get a crowd of 8,000 or so to show CJJ and the guys some love

I wish the Saints didn't play Thursday... It is gonna hurt the crowd. I'll be there, but some people won't. The GF said she wanted to stay home and watch the saints game this time. Im sure other people will say the same thing.

Trent had some rough years, but I think that people forget that we had a good team last year. Hamilton was the best player on the team, and we'd probably be on the bubble for the NCAAT if he remained.

I don't know the exact numbers, but nationally we were ranked in the top 40 in offensive rebounds per game , but somewhere in the mid-hundreds for defensive rebounds per game. Find a way to go back and watch the games if you want proof. There were plenty times that teams got the ball back because we didn't block out.

Going to be tough with Saints playing Thursday night against the Dirty birds. Late start probably won't help. I'd say 6k or less.

Give the Athletics office credit for making every effort to pump attendance. The Seton Hall game will have-

- A drawing for two free LSU bowl game tickets,
- Two cash draws of $250 each for students,
- First 500 students get free food.

Saints got this. I'll be at the BBall game. Missed the game against "Valley" but have enjoyed the other games so far. JOB is looking strong but this is Hickey's team. He looks strong and fast with the ball and gets people the ball with room to shoot. Need to play better defense. I don't 'know much abouit Seaton Hall but I'll bet they play tough defense and execute their offense and have strong guard play.
