If the worst is realized and LSU goes to the Chicken Bowl

How many teams with worse records and lower rankings will play in a January bowl while LSU plays in a NYE bowl? Looking at the projections it could be quite a few. Is this just how the chips are falling with tie ins and such or is this punishment for winning ugly all year?

The difference between the chick fil a bowl and the bcs championship came down to les miles not trying to get a first down at the end of the bama game.

It doesn't have the same meaning anymore. Heart of Dallas Bowl is on 1/1. GoDaddy.com is in 1/6. The Gator Bowl is a lower SEC bowl and is on 1/1.

We travel very well as a fan base but, if they do evaluate the entertainment value of a football team, we may get bumped by other teams. the CLM factor may balance everything.

On paper it doesn't, but in perception it most certainly does. Although I don't think anybody counts the godaddy bowl.

it is what happens when you lose to Bama. That game now is basically our season every year going forward......it killed our chances at winning the SEC and a NC. WHo cares about a crap non BCS bowl game? there are a million bowl games now. totally useless. playoffs cannot get here fast enough. hopefully even with a lone loss to bama we can run the tablke and get to #4 and make the playoffs should this happen again in 2014.

Any way you look at it its a goddam disgrace. Granted this team has had plenty of obstacles but the team takes on the personality of the coach. This team has no killer instinct and can get beat by teams with lesser talent. We play to the level of our opponent, that's all there is to it.

To be fair there were numerous game management decisions in that game that cost us
It wasn't one thing. Like I said after the game it was death by a thousand cuts. The dumb fake field goal, the long field goal attempt...it all ads up.

Was following the TD game thread Fri. and several guys said that Les was saying "milk it" when there was almost 2 mins. left, and Arky still had 3 TO's left. Three runs took about 20 secs off the clock and got us 3 pts. But it also nearly sent the game into OT with the last AR drive. The guy is truly the luckiest fool in football.

U act like we lost them fricking games . When will u an some of these other guys we lost only 2 games to 2 very good teams. A revamp oline that started 2 babies on the right side. Great year if u ask me, but hey I'm not a spoiled fan an I also realize, this conference is damn strong.

I'd sure like to hear the sunshine pumpers hyping that 10-2 record now.
Seems like their defense was always within a discussion of going to a BCS or top "second tier" bowl.

There is no defense for the sunshine pumpers. The chicken bowl was not supposed to happen this year.
