Everyone knows the rules.

Regardless of whether or not the rule has merit is irrelevant.

He knew the rules and broke it repeatedly.

Much to my disgust because i loved the guy as a Tiger.

He gone and isn't coming back.

That was my thought.

You can be addicted to many things you technically shouldn't be able to become addicted to... Food, pron, soft drinks...

Weed is a habitual addiction, his ego kept him from not smoking, you can stop smoking weed cold turkey and anyone who says they have with drawls is being a total bitch. Cutting out white sugar or caffine is 100x's harder than stopping weed.
That said it is a gateway drug, the reason, your weed dealer deals other product.

To TM7 if charges are dropped why not have him back?

IMO he declares for the draft.

I think the idea of "addiction" conjures someone who "needs" a substance and will physically or mentally suffer without it. Withdrawals are real medical issues and can be deadly. People who claim to be addicted to sex or porno or pot aren't addicted. They just enjoy these things and don't want to go through life without them.

Well I know all this, but I'm like you. I love the guy and if all he did was smoke pot then welcome to college. For these fans who think he's some cancer to the team and all that shite is idiotic (again assuming all he did was smoke pot).

And I just can't get on board with the "rules are rules" attitude. I guess I don't worship authority enough. It's like running a red light at an empty intersection at night. If a cop tickets me then I'll pay it, but I'll continue to run those red lights and I wont apologize.

I want him back. He brings so much swag with him. Our defense was awful this year'! We made our ark and old sis look like the 72 fricking dolphins

I understand all that however this wasn't his first time. It was his 4th or 5th.

3rd gets you suspended from a game (AU last year) more gets you kicked off the team, which we all know he was.

It doesn't matter what he smoked, drank, whatever. He violated team rules, that were explained to him at least twice prior to him getting kicked off the team. He chose to ignore that, almost along the lines that "he's above that, 'I'm the Honey Badger, I can do what I want,' " well, probably not.

I was a fan of his play making ability but he didn't take it seriously and now I don't think there's a snowball's chance in hell he even sets foot on the field in Tiger Stadium, and rightfully so.

Miles made the right decision to boot him off the team. There are younger kids that are impressionable and to do nothing would let them think, "Well, I guess this is ok."

TM has no one to blame but himself. He should've stayed away from that stuff, and those that liked it, if getting back on the team meant so much to him.

Agree.

I don't want him back at this point. He's not dependable.

Mike on TOS has always spoken highly of him as a person, who has good intentions but always finds a way to get in trouble. Yes, he screwed up royally and most likely won't return. But, none of us truly know what is going on behind the scenes. If its dropped to a misdeamor you never know, JJ was let back on the team when that happened last year. Would not be surprised if he heads to nfl either though

As was alluded to earlier, he was not kicked off the team in Aug. for simply failing another drug test. His 2 thug buddies took the heat for him when all 3 were stopped & found to have a trunk full of pills & weed. That aside, let him back on the team next yr, a big game rolls around again, and he gets busted for the 4-5-6 th time. No thanks. As for the argument that every college student does it, perhaps true, but then not every college student gets a free academic ride for 4 yrs with a lot of legal perks thrown in, i.e. the first class educational building & support staff that all athletes get for free. He's had muliple chances & now he needs to learn that he will not get a free pass the rest of his life just because he has a catchy name & above average athletic ability.

Yea ur story might be true but I know the two buddies did not take the wrap for him. I looked up their names in the OPP dockets and it comes back negative.

I know the arresting officer & this is what he says went down. Phone calls were made once it became known it was the HB involved. As to what did/did not make it to the official docket, I cann't speak to that.

He will do it again and again. The dope is more important in his life than the football, the coaches, his teammates, or his family. Sad, but I was pulling for him too.

There are plenty of examples of people growing up in loving two parent households who still develop addiction problems.
