I am not a big Vanderbilt fan but because I live in TN, I have a casual interest in how well they do. I definitely pull for them when they play TN and usually any other SEC team besides LSU.

I believe James Franklin has done an outstanding job with this team over the past two years. They lost a lot of close games last year and seemed to have won most of those close games this year.

Its nice to see a team that has the odds stacked against them start to have some success, especially playing in the SEC.

I believe Stanford has proven that, even though your a high academic standard college, you can still have success in college football.

If you look at their schedule this year and the games they lost, the only game you can say they were completely dominated in was the Georgia game. They easily should have beaten SC in the first game of the year.

Vanderbilt

Anytime Vandy has a season like this one you should be concerned how tough the SEC was this year.

Vandy has always been a joke before... But these last few years have been critical for the program. With the right coach and Tennessee at its lowest point, now or never is the time to elevate this program to take the players that would go to Tennessee and blue print their program to ala Stanford. If the coach can sell this to the players they have a chance to continue this rise. Tennessee's next coaching hire is critical for their program.
