Stop them and you're playing for the NC.
We didn't and our defense has done the same thing in nearly every game since. But hey, we're 10-2 and Les is the only coach to ever do that in 8 years. Wow. I'd rather him be the first coach to win 2 BCS Championships in 6 years.
It all came down to THAT drive and we choked. Keep looking for your silver linings and moral victories.

Yeah great, we got 3rd-and-Chavis'd. It happens. That's the first time it's cost us a national title appearance, and may be the last. Yes, it sucks, no, it's not a "moral victory" to be happy with this season. 11-2 and BCS bowl champs is a damn good year and we've got a LOT of good pieces coming back for next year's title run.

Never hire Nick Saban and still mediocre. Don't replace the Genius with Les and we turn into the "U" with a Larry Coker type coach.
UGA would skull frick us anyway IMHO with the way we are playing defense. UGA may be the most confident team in nation currently.

Just tired of reading about all these 10 win threads. This team had a great chance to win it ALL, but gave it all away to Bama in a game we dominated. Now you've got a board full of retards cheering for AU, FSU and 5 other games so that LSU can back into a championship game when all we had to do was stop Bama with a 1:30 left in the game.
At the end of the day, we controlled our own destiny and we gave it away.
For whatever reason, even after that happened we still haven't figured out how to stop doing it to every team we played since. We came close to losing to Ole Miss and Arkansas in the same fashion.
You retards would be calling for Les' head had those two games gone the other way. And they well could have...
