Yeah, because that's the definition of queer you meant.

Their live stuff is better than album. They have a set on iTunes under PBS. PBS mini desk concerts for free that is better than the studio stuff. It's only three songs, but free. They do audio only or video. There are 20 other good ones once u get on there looking through the PBS stuff. Decemberists, Grouplove....

In my opinion its the best pop album in 5+ years. Absolutely love that album and their genre is nowhere near what I normally listen to. Guess I will go look for a dick to fall on now.

It had been 5 maybe 10 years since I really liked a new pop band. I don't hate Maroon 5, but I don't like them either. Nickelback obviously blows and so does every band that sounds remotely like them. Beyonce is overrated imo. Rihanna is just okay. I've listened to very little Gaga and even less Katy Perry.

I won't go on and on, but the point is that after a long while where I was never really into a band/artist that definitely fell under the umbrella of "pop music", I heard Foster The People and loved them. And then heard Fun. and loved them as well.

So now I have two pop bands that I legitimately dig. This is neither good nor band, just interesting. Back in the 80s, the best music being put out was pop music by and large. That hasn't been the case for a while, but perhaps the pendulum could swing back in the other direction. Which is good in that there is little downside to the best music being put out being accessible rather than inaccessible. And I like pop music so long as it doesn't suck.

What's great about FTP is that their album wasn't a pop album until it became a pop album. It would have remained underground hipster skinny-jean indie shite except that all the songs are catchy as hell.

I like that. I think that is how music is supposed to work.
