Bama and UGA went through their conference schedule without having to play the top three teams from the other division.

Think LSU would have a similar record to Bama or UGA if their schedule was that easy?

I think so. Do you?

McCarron and Saban BOTH said they knew exactly what we were going to do in the last 2 mins.

That's not luck, that's preparation.

Plus, A & M beat Bama, we did not

And of those 5 we beat 2 in head to head match ups and one we didn't play.

Not so terrible when you look at it that way

Couple that with my point above and this is a great season considering all of the other factors.

I'm thrilled. I thought after the suspensions we would easily lose 3, maybe 4.

People bitching about players LSU lost, it is dreaming LSU we've been producing NFL talent yearly

If you think losing guys talented enough to start for LSU at the rate we did doesn't hurt your team, then you are a fruit loop.

10-2 and BCS ranked #7 is an outstanding record for this team when you consider everything thats happened after spring practice.

I'm sure the team is disappointed in weakass fans like you too.

And the point is LsU has been losing talented top picks to the NFL draft for several years. Last year was not the first so that excuse is rather lame and just an excuse

I agree wholeheartedly with this.

So is there going to be some formal hate parade in hopes that this might derail our conference rivals' hopes of hoisting another trophy?

If you can't see the difference between losing talent at the end of a season and losing talent from the spring game into your current season, then you are a nut case.

nd the talent that has replaced them has been in practice and seen limited game action, some for several years, the talent replacing them is equally as talented if not more so just inexperienced, the talent coming up is better than many of the teams we have faced. It's only an excuse for people looking for excuses

10-2 in the toughest conference – stop the fricking crying quote: We could have easily gone 8-4 or 7-5 this year, if luck hadn't gone Miles way. Look I'm not a sunshine pumper in the least bit, but this could be said about any team that's ever had a successful season other than 1995 Nebraska or 2001 Miami.

Actually even 2001 Miami had a couple of lucky games they only beat va tech 26-24 and Bc 18-7 in which Bc was on miamis 9 with < 1 min left before throwing a pick 6.

We have lost over ten players well before mid season who were going to be counted on to play either in a starting role or provide key depth. It's late in the season where that loss of depth comes into play. It's like we are on Sanctions from the NCAA. We could have folded it in after bama like the team did in 08 but this team didn't. Pardon me if I brag on a team that overcame that is is staring straight at a top 5 ranking going into the bowl.

And that lack of in game experience is what leads to playing down to competion. It's what causes you to miss a blitz pick up getting the qb sacked before he can hit an open read. It's what causes you to bite on play action.

It causes you to not follow a back for a screen when you come on a blitz and he gives a chip and realeases to take a screen pass for a touchdown.

Eta: I'm not saying this to pick on the freshman o line line backers or corners I'm saying to illustrate that we have some terrific players who stepped up in a tough situtation that doesn't replace the fact that we thought we not only had talent at those spots but experience. We will next year. I for one am happy with this season and ready to see those guys after a year under their belt.

"achievements cannot be measured without goals"

Yes, I am proud of their accomplishments, especially the O line being shredded this year.

I have bitched about playing down to competition, in fact if you read above you see where I say I enjoy the games unless it is a loss. The game I've bitched about is Alabama where LSU dominated and had it not been for some head scratching coaching decisions LSU would be probably #2 in BCS and challenging for the NC.
However, i still don't believe in using the injury excuse because every team suffers injuries, suspensions, deflections, etc. some get hit harder than others and honestly up until this year LSU really has been hit with any real bad injuries.

There is a reason starters start over replacements and that reason is that they are generally judged to be better.

Losing starters during a season that you counted on them weakens your team. If you can't even bring yourself to admit that basic fact, you are only here stir shite up and shouldn't be taken seriously.
