In December of 1995 I spent the night in a parking lot in order to buy tickets to the Poulan Weed Eater Independence Bowl in Shreveport. Where I slept now how has a big , badass copper looking tiger.
to the people who aren't damn proud of what we have. Les wins. If you want to see offensive explosions, we also have an exciting team that plays on Sunday.

Off my soapbox

Couldnt agree more. Most of these frick sticks have no sense of history of LSU football and the others who do have a false sense of history. 1958 to 1973 was the initial golden era of LSU football and it doesn't come close to whats going on now.

Was that parking spot #199?

Sorry brah that you were old enough to see LSU suck. This is a different era and we are supposed to be an elite team. One NC in 7 years is the definition of under achieving with the talent we recruit. Just because we used to suck back in the day doesn't mean it is ok to be content with 10-2 seasons every year now. Where are the championships?

Les is a terrible coach> I mean there are no other good teams int eh country. With our talent we should win every year, BLAH BLAH BLAH

People are ridiculous. 10+ win season in 6 of the last 8 years. 1 BCs Title 2 BCS appearances 2 SEC Titles 3 SEC West Titles. 85-20
Les is a good coach. Deal with it.

Here we go again with ppl comparing two different decades of football. Was lsu a national power in the 90's? On par talentwise with Florida st? Nebraska? Miami?.....are they now? As you improve expectations go up. As u improve as an athlete your goals get higher as to what u want to accomplish. Same thing here. 90' lsu football didn't and shouldn't have had the same expectations as present day lsu football. Doesn't mean I'm pissed at 10 wins but its not what it could've been talentwise.

Les is a great coach. Nobody is asking to replace him. There is no one we could hire that can do better. But Miles is just missing that last .1% that has prevented us from winning another NC, if not two. Every year we are right there. We just can't seem to get over that final hump. Hopefully it will be our season next year.

I think Mett came on in the Alabama game. If the light had gone on earlier, we would have beat Florida. The Bama game was great until the last drive of theirs. I think next year will be special.

Name the last LSU class rated as #1 in recruiting rankings. Name the last Bama class.

I'll answer it for you (according to Rivals since 2002)

LSU: 2003
Bama: 2008, 2009, 2011, 2012

You don't even have to go back 12 months to find one. Holy shite you people are miserable.

'05 - lost in SECCG
'07 - won SECCG, won NCG
'11 - Won SECCG, lost NCG

I would be perfectly content if we average 10-2 for the rest of Miles career at LSU, because it means we have a shot to play for the NCG. LSU won 10 games this year(again for the 6th time in 8 years) with a green QB, sketchy OL, goofy amounts of injuries/suspensions/ineligibilities. Put things in perspective. The expectations of this team from the spring had to be different from when 1/3 of our starters were no longer playing.

Most sources believe LSU had the #1 class in 2009

We just lost alot of them to the NFL before this year

Even if not #1, we're still in the top 10 each year. Many of the teams we compete against are up there with us. Bama has outdone us since Saban got there. To stake a claim at championships purely on talent is just false. To compete for championships is absolutely a reasonable expectation. I'd say we've done that every year under Miles with the exception of 2008.

Amen. The Negatigers, althought entertaining for their delusion, are completely retarded. I was a freshman in 1995 & remember how fired up we all were to play in that Independence Bowl against Michigan St & their coach...NICK SABAN. Incidentally, we beat their arse.
