The result? Entirely predictable, since the same thing happened in the Alabama game.... eleven defenders running at the snap to the ball carrier. No gain. Loss of possession.

JL Smith might be a dumbass, but he at least had the sense to keep his QB in on HIS fourth and one... a pass that almost tied the score.

And, oh, by the way... that toss dive is STILL garbage.

I agree to an extent. Keep your qb in the game and make them respect the pass instead of being able to basically get into a goal line formation

LSU will be an unstoppable juggernaut once Rex is the OC.

Of course, recruiting will suffer but you take that for playcalling genius

You must not been around in the 80's and 90's
10-2 lets hope teams 1,2,3,4, and 5 lose so we can possibly go to bcs bowl.

This +1,000,000

I like to position myself with the "we won didn't we?" crowd...but goddamn Gina! WTF decision making do we consistently see on critical downs? Les must keep a rabbit foot in his pocket. That last series we had a chance to close it out and the play calling along with the effort on the field seemed half-arse. Anyone else notice the blocking and running was nonchalant? ....which led to a field goal.

Warecat is terrible. It hasn't worked more times than it has worked this season.

LSU would pick up a 1st down running the ball up the middle with a running back. It's pointless to change things up.

Your football IQ is garbage. We ran that play against A&M for a big first down. And the toss dive has won games for us in the past. The long Hill TD against SC was on the "toss dive". And just because we do a quick toss doesn't mean it's the same play. We block it differently, but you wouldn't know that be aide your too busy wearing a dog costume.

I have no prob with Ware at QB on that situation. We have done that before this season. BUT why run wide with less than a yard to go !!!! LSU did the same thing against Alabama on 2nd and 1 and lost a few yards. Completely stupid. Just get the first down. Either run it inside or QB sneak it. No way they stop Ware sneaking it for a yard

ahh comeon man. it was lucky that arkansas had the play sniffed out. We could have run the other play we use out of that formation. They had a 50/50 chance and got lucky.

Agree totally. Horrible, very predictable play-calling. The coaches almost gave this one away along with the Alabama game.

Which doesn't mean that some other play would not have worked.

Also, one out of three on fourth and one is NOT an argument in its favor.

We've ran that same exact formation for several years and it has at least an 80% success rate. Warecat under center is nothing new. We ran that same formation with Jefferson last year. It's proven to work. Ware bobbled the snap against Bama and today A&M made a good play. Why do you guys act like we just started running this formation?
